Pelagus 3D is joining Amify
Pelagus 3D, a joint venture company of thyssenkrupp and Wilhelmsen, proudly announces a new Strategic Collaboration Agreement with Amify.me – part of the Additive Center Group, an independent education platform in the additive manufacturing (AM) industry. This collaboration aims to bridge the knowledge gap for their customers, facilitating the global expansion of on-demand spare parts manufacturing through qualified distributed manufacturing.
The Partnership will leverage Pelagus 3D’s expertise in digital inventory solutions in the maritime and energy industry and Amify.me’s deep industry knowledge to enhance service offerings and foster innovation in additive manufacturing. By supporting customers in their journey towards Additive Manufacturing, the collaboration seeks to empower them with the right knowledge, necessary tools and services for successful adoption and operationalization of AM technologies.
Haakon Ellekjaer, Chief Commercial Officer of Pelagus 3D, stated, “One of the biggest challenges we are facing is the knowledge gap, both for end-use customers and the OEMs. Through this collaboration and by supporting our customers, we enable them to advance towards on-demand spare parts manufacturing through qualified distributed manufacturing.” AM enables unique cost- and performance improvements for their business. Amify.me is building a robust collaboration with the AM industry, including printer OEMs and other key stakeholders, to bridge the knowledge gap from early adopters to the majority and lead the industry on this transformative journey. This strategic partnership with Pelagus 3D represents a significant step in achieving this vision. Both companies believe that collaboration in the 3D printing industry is crucial to transitioning the technology from theoretical potential to real-world manufacturing.
“This partnership provides Pelagus 3D the tools and services to ensure customers are adoption-ready through increased knowledge. In return, Pelagus 3D offers tools and services needed to operationalize AM and deliver on the promise of distributed on-demand manufacturing,” said Maarten van Dijk, CEO of Additive Center.
“By working closely with Amify.me, we are committed to advancing AM innovation and accelerating its adoption. This partnership marks a significant milestone in our mission to drive the adoption of on-demand spare parts manufacturing,” added Ellekjaer. Amify.me invites all Additive Manufacturing industry participants to join it’s global initiative to advance to mass production.
